So Easy, So Fast

I was able to do my tax return in under two hours. I had most of the papers I needed, and just stepped through without a hitch. This was the easiest I've ever been able to do my taxes.
What's great about it: Able to do in under 2 hours

Would prefer a quicker method where I am asked "will your return be the same as last year?" and I just fill in the new amounts.

TurboTax is a very good tool for the general public but lacks easy review capabilities for the experienced tax prepare. Lumping together federal and state tax payments; grouping cash and non-cash contributions together in the summary are examples. It is also difficult to find where to apply overpaid tax to the following year.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Difficult to navigate for high income taxpayers with estimates and complex transaction. Summary lumps numbers together.

I've been using turbo tax every year.and seems like it is better and more explainable each year.i wont use any other program except tubo tax.thanks for a job well done.my only objection is the spell checker.it forces me to check my spelling when I write my review..lol.....

love turbo tax, have been using Basic every year since 1999, so easy, and comforting to know the math is done correctly. Esp Schedule D cap gain worksheet, hard to follow if doing by hand. So glad that last year's snafu was handled well last year, and back to normal this year.
What's great about it: easy to use, feeds in info from prior years, math calcs

I have used TTax for many years. This version had more issues than I have experienced in the past, and this year was a relatively easy and simple return.
Entering data from a 1099-MISC turned out to be problematic. Entering data when you are a limited partner requires you go into the forms and do them yourself. TTax would not enter it in the right places and when id did, did them incorrectly.
What's great about it: Easy to use, step by step intuitive
What's not so great: Some forms not completed in full or correctly
