I found it easy to use given this is the way I did my taxes this year.
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Although the CD didn't boot up, I was able to work around the difficulty.
Preparation was made easier by using the previous year's standard data to fill in those lines that are repetitive. For our needs it serves well as record keeping is geared towards supplying the necessary info required for the tax return.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Helps in preparing next year's returns by showing what records need to be kept for my tax situation

I've used this product for years, and it keeps on getting better. Features improve each year and the entire process from beginning to end gets a bit simpler. Truly exceptional.
What's great about it: Easy to use step by step guide, lots of help available.

Navigating The Federal Maze

In brief, Turbo Tax makes the job of swimming through the Federal and State tax-swamp easy, and it's done honestly, such that no wool is pulled over your eyes.

IT WAS EASY

Filing my taxes this year was a simple and painless experience and worth the expenses of buying the program. I did the work in my own home when I wanted to file.
What's great about it: The process was easy to use and follow

Update

Wasn't able to update even after reinstalling, rebooting, etc.. Finally found a manual update method. Wasted at least two hours working on update problem. Since I wasn't the only one with this problem seems TurboTax should have corrected this problem.
What's great about it: Ability to retrieve last years info and check for mistakes
What's not so great: Update problem

It was pretty good but I can fill out the forms myself just as well. The point of using software is to be faster than doing it myself. I didn't know there was an E-file deadline so I lost that convenience. Printing it out and mailing it is about the same as me doing it myself. Also, I used Turbo tax last year, but it was not able to find my info so it didn't save me any time there either. It never gave me a choice to import my W2. I work for a huge employer so I find it hard to believe that they are not a partner with Turbo tax. I filled out all my W2 info, but went back to a previous page to check something and all my info cleared. I had to type it all in again. Overall, I don't think gained much by using software instead of doing it by hand.
What's great about it: It was handy. I prefer computer based forms rather than paper.
What's not so great: Cleared all my W2 info when I went to previous page to check something.
