Easy Breezy

This years went very quick, and I was able to retrieve the Oppenheimer Fund and it loaded and I didnt have to type in anything. Although next year I will have to upgrade to OSX El Capitan to continue to use TurboTax, I was lucky to still use what I have this year to file.
What's great about it: The questions were simple to understand
What's not so great: All the foreign questions overseas tax on a basic step-by-step

Worked perfectly, pulled up last year, saved me a lot of typing.

I liked turbo tax, very easy and straight forward to use. I am glad about my return and would recommend turbo tax to my friends.

Refund Lower than Submitted

My daughter's return was submitted with a $363 federal amount due back. We received only $229. What the heck is that?
No e-mail explanations. No phone calls. No letters.
We're dropping your software and using H&R Block next year.
What's great about it: None

Easiest to use!

Turbo Tax has the easiest interview process. I used HR Block software last year (in response to some missing forms in TT), but was not impressed with their interview process at all. I will continue to use TT as long as all my forms remain available.

Great app with small but important issues

I use this sw every year and it saves me a lot of pain, however, as an American living abroad, there are issues that never get resolved! For example,
1. A foreign telephone number entry is not supported in the address section
!
2. Foreign spouse's lack of an SSN is considered an error! Foreigners do not need a SSN.

3. e-filing fails due to the foreign spouse not having an SSN which reverts everything back to filing by mail!
Hopefully one of these years these issues will be addressed.
What's great about it: Very thorough and easy to follow ...
What's not so great: Few bug like inconsistencies ...
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good MAC Version, but not like PC Version

I have used TurboTax for 30 plus years. This is my first year using a Macintosh version. The layout was different from the PC version to which I had become accustomed. I could not find the list of forms from which to choose. Doing taxes is never fun, but TurboTax had always made it bearable. This year using the Mac made the process more frustrating. I don't know if the problem is TurboTax's or mine because of my unfamiliarity with the Mac, but this was frustrating. I'll continue using TurboTax because of my past experience--but I want to warn new Mac users.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Different from PC Version
