Better Integration with Financial Institutions

I have been using a competing product since 2004 when TurboTax copy protection wrote into the boot sector of customers' hard drives.
This year one of my financial institutions listed over 40 transactions on my 1099 but the competing product would not download the data. TurboTax was supported so I held my nose and bought it. Everything went very well and I guess since 13 years has passed perhaps it's now time to take TurboTax out of the "doghouse."
What's great about it: Better Integration with Financial Institutions
What's not so great: Reputation

Unbelievabley easy!

First time I've filed my Federal return in 20 yeas. Start to finish in 3 hours including time to rummage up property tax receipts, etc.
What's great about it: Federal return in 3 hours time! Excellent!

Perfect for busy young people

This is my third year using turbo tax. Every year with turbo tax has been easier than the last, as it will "read" last year's tax return and import information. Both of my previous year's tax returns where accepted via e-filling with no issues.
Going into Tax season this year, my biggest concern was my 1095 from my marketplace health plan. Turbo tax had it covered in a simple and easy to enter format.
Turbo Tax also handled my student loan deductions (1098) and my unemployment information. (1099)
As in previous years, I was able to import a W-2 digitally from ADP and for the first time Insperity.
Do check which version you purchase if you wish to file your state tax returns without any additional fees. E-filling by state also various, so be prepared for another fee at the end depending on your state. E-filing your federal return is free.
Overall, I recommend this product to my other young friends and family members. Its good to know what forms you need and to understand the filing process better by doing it yourself. (Turbo tax checks for rookie mistakes and will guide you through correcting them, so don't worry about that)
What's great about it: Transfers information from previous years= no paperwork
What's not so great: Additional fees may pop up later, review the version you purchased
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Painless taxes

I actually enjoyed using this program. It was very easy almost easier than the one that I have been using for 13 years.
What's great about it: It was easy and got me a refund
What's not so great: I wish I could get this for free.

I've used TurboTax since the beginning. The program used to be quite a challenge, but it's gotten a little better every year. However, I don't understand this regular freezing of the program. The user just has to wait it out. ???
What's great about it: Clear instructions
What's not so great: Program freezes several times a session.
