"Turb Tax" is a very apt title!

I've done my own taxes online for the last fifteen years and tried other software several times. I keep coming back to Turbo Tax because it's clear and easy yet very thorough. I've usually bought Turbo Tax Deluxe with state because it's all in one. This time I got Basic thinking I would save money......wrong!! Basic is all I need but it's cheaper to get Deluxe with state than to buy Basic and state separate.
That being said, I would definitely recommend Turbo Tax to my friends.

What's great about it: Very easy to use yet very thorough.
What's not so great: No basic/state bundle.

Helpful, but Could Improve

Very comfortable to use without fear of errors going unresolved. I just wish I didn't have to update it every time I download a brand new year's software.
What's great about it: Step-by-step for success, comfortable layout and interface, uses previous year's filings to help (if you used TurboTax)
What's not so great: Every year I have to update even if I just downloaded the program the same day I file
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

My TurboTax 2015 tax return

TurboTax has been my choice to get my tax return done for several years. I feel very confident and secure using your product as TurboTax is always updated with the latest changes right before I start working on my return.
Also, it is very easy to understand and to complete as each area is checked for errors and I feel confident that my return is always 100% correct before it is e-filed.

Confidence in self

When we used a tax prepare place, we felt overwhelmed and didn't like telling someone our personal information in an open floor setting. And the end when you thank someone for taking your check for more than your return is worth was the last time we went out. Using Turbo Tax is a confidence booster. Each day we did one area (no more than an hour spent) and came back the next day and so on. At the end of the week we reviewed and filed. No tensions for five years. Good for us!
What's great about it: I like going back and forth and taking my time. I like doing some each day for a week; review and file. And I can.
What's not so great: It's still about taxes. Ha.

I am very inexperienced when it comes to filing taxes, so I always rely on TurboTax to guarantee me the best refund with the simplest filing process.
