Great Product

Been a Turbo Tax user for many years and will continue to each year. Makes an unhappy task not so bad. Easy, simple to use.
What's great about it: Breezed through taxes with no problems
What's not so great: Constant prods for money - audit assistance and state refund

I'm retired with a 15yr old daughter. She started receiving SSI from my SSI this yr. I did not know how to or not to treat that figure. I asked a money manager and was informed that under $6300.00 need not be reported. I would imagine that a section should be added that incorporates information on dependent income.
What's great about it: System is good even for a complete novice.
What's not so great: Only one area not clear. See review

Turbo Tax Basic

Don't like having to buy the basic program, then buy the state and then pay for the e-file too.
Think it is starting to cost too much, maybe include e-file with the state program to give your users a break
What's great about it: Easy to use progam with prompts for inexperienced users
What's not so great: getting expensive

I love using this product. my taxes are simple so I don't need someone else charging me to answer simple questions. thanks to turbo tax I have the power in my hands to complete my own taxes and without even breaking a sweat! I know it will be safe and reviewed to be sure all information is correct. Love it!
What's great about it: it walked me through everything
What's not so great: it took me back through some things I had already answered

I have done taxes with TurboTax for over 25 years. It is like doing taxes with an old friend. All the questions are direct and straight to the point, and it puts the figures where they belong. It enjoy working with TurboTax. I do about 5 taxes a year.

Did taxes for the disable and the process rocked.

I do a lot of volunteer work doing taxes for the disabled and low income and using this turbo tax makes my job so easy. This also allow me serve more individuals.

retirement plan explanation of non-qualified plan, difficult to find in a state retirement plan. it is mentioned for military, I don't recall for a state teacher type employee plan.
What's great about it: nicer this time
