Image is typical of Samsung: almost superior to reality itself.
SmartHub(tm) is interesting, but takes some getting used to. That is probably not the fault of the machine.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight

Do not buy this unit refurbished!

I recently purchased one of these units from a third party toted as "refurbished". Having purchased many Samsung products in the past, I figured what the hay, I'm sure their refurbished products would live up to the same quality. Upon receiving this unit, the device will not play Blu Ray discs at all, and any streaming services such as Netflix or Hulu crash the device to the boot screen. Doing a factory reset and updating the firmware proved to no avail. Trying to get the unit repaired has also proven to be a hassle as well. The user interface is nice and it has alot of neat features, but if the product cannot do what it was designed to do in the first place, then it shouldn't be available to the public. Buyer Beware!!
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, not functional

Used it mainly with our Samsung TV. Liked the built in WiFi, but it's extremely slow. Don't rely on it to download any movies! It'll take forever. We like the USB port in front of the player, saves a lot of time trying to connect a video camera or portable hard drive. Good picture, simple connection to the TV (via HDMI). Great value.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Too big, slow wifi

Worst Samsung product I've ever owned!

This product appeared to be a good buy at first: good reviews & good price. Worked great initially but soon began having issues with streaming Netflix. After about 9 months it started having trouble with Blu-Rays, DVDs, AND streaming! By 12 months, it won't even open to give me back my Blu-Ray disk! Boo!!!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, didn't last
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Blu-ray player. Use it every day for over a year now.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: front lights have never worked

I believe this player was one of the first Smart players. It has a few kinks.

I use this product in my bedroom and it interacts very well with my phone, computer and wireless network!
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, great connectivity
