Netflix locks up quite often when using WIFI. Make sure you have five bars of signal strength. Sometimes Netflix locks the player up completely and then you'll have to shutdown power and restart. Don't think it's the players fault. Prob with Netflix software. The player is nice fast bluray bootups.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color

This particular product produces beautiful color reproduction and clarity. Particularly thrilled with its capability of boosting standard dvd's up to 1080 quality. Also, downloading movies is a snap. Thanks for a wonderful product.....
I love having access to the Internet; downstreaming movies from Netflix, Pandora, etc. It was easy to set up, and it's easy to operate. I do wish Amazon Video on Demand was accessible via the Smart Hub feature. Additionally, I wish the system was faster when connecting to the Internet. I would add, though, that I am very satisfied with the speed of playing Blu-Ray and DVD discs.
Was looking for a Bluray player with Blockbuster and Netflix apps...this was it and I am very satisfied with the player. Picture quality is great. Set up was easy and quick.
Finally a brand name and a product that is a must have. I went through 3 different brands of blu ray players that all froze before I purchased a samsung. I should of purchased it in the first place. Ease of use fantastic, apps galore, picture and sound quality is superb.
We bought this BD-player after our DVD player got fried in a lightning incident.
The main reason for going with the Samsung product was the compatibility with the TV we were going to buy (Samsung UN46D6000).
The BD-player works very well, start times are generally fast considering the very extensive menu it has to load. Scale-up of DVDs to 1080p works like a charm.
Some BD disc are a little slow to start.

The BD-D5700 has everything I need to show DVD, Blue Ray, and provide Netflix streaming movies. The device set up for Wireless and was usable for all features in less than 1/2 hour after pluging it in. The performance is more than adequate for my use. I would recommend Samsung for any product you would need.

Love the new DVD / Blue ray player and the smart tv apps. Only wish I could totally cruise the internet on it. I also hope that samsung develops more apps for it. Its pretty limited. Also..one remote would be great. I have the samsung tv and now this. I need to use both tv and dvd remotes at times AS WELL as good ol Comcasts remote. Those are the only reasons I rated it 4 out of 5 stars.
