This product is horrible to upgrade firmware. I bought this for playing blue-ray disks and netflix. Mainly netflix, which has been flakey on this since day one. I got it to work for about 5 months on and off. Then I got a firmware upgrade and it will not let netflix play anymore. Look somewhere else for a netflix device. As far as DVD's it works really great. Blu-Ray disks load slow and the remote will not let you jump to the main menu until all the leading junk is through.
Pros: Durable, plays dvd really well, simple interface
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor upgrading capabilities

Netflix not working

I purchased this to play my blu-rays and Netflix. The blu-rays work great, but Netflix isn't working and we've tried everything. Very disappointed. And our internet works perfectly fine, so that's not the problem.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, netflix not working

Worst BR player ive ever owned

I bought this player from an popular retailer because my last one died. I picked this one as a replacement because i love samsung. This player has the least user friendly interface for any online activities, Netflix constantly freezes, I have to reboot 3-4 times just to get to my instant queue, navigating through my queue is an ordeal in of itself, and painfully slow response time between the unit and the remote, i dont even use the FF or Rewind options while watching anything. I cant to buy a different one.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The tv turns on in the middle of night to do the update and stays on. Also, I feel the product is being updated too frequentially.

This product has good features but does not work

Since new the unit locks up when playing blue ray discs. Typically waits until the end of the movie so you can't finish watching it. Continuously get "Network Interference" message and will not connect to network wired or wireless. I've tried using multiple routers and unit works initially and then the next use the error message appears and it will not connect.All other networked equipment works fine.
