I was so excited when I bought this unit. Set-up was relatively easy and quick. The features looked great. Loved the Wi-Fi and apps. Loved that it sync'd w/my Samsung tv. However - during the first disc played the unit just stopped - 1 hr in. After that - nothing worked -couldn't load a single disc. Reset, updated firmware - 3 times - nothing worked. So back to the store it went the next day! Extremely disappointed in this unit!
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just one quirk...

I'd be really pleased with this model if not for one annoying problem. Smart Hub keeps "updating" the apps I've downloaded - by deleting them entirely. It's not because of a new version of the app, and it doesn't reload it. The older model I have doesn't do this, so if I could sort this problem out I'd be really pleased with this machine - especially the built-in WiFi.
Pros: Inexpensive, built-in wifi

The initial set up was a bit of bear but once it is set up it is fantastic all the way around.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color

Easy to hook up, connected to my home wifi network with no issues. Was able to get online and hooked up to Netflix in minutes. It looks great and so far performs to my expectations.
My only concern is the little door that covers the disk loading tray. It seems loosely attached and flimsy. I am just waiting for one of my kids to get hold of it and snap it off.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We own this product and another model of the smasung blu-ray family and I would have to say that this player is my favorite of the two! Great product for a great generation of samsung products.

GOOD PRODUCT AND NICE REMOTE CONTROL

I have only used this for a few days but its really functions as advertised. Do use it with a Samsung tv and a HDMI cable. Remote is like the Samsung Tv remote but with added features and the Samsung anynet is a great feature.
You can also use this with all share on your home PC network.
