Worthless for Netflix

Bought this for the wi-fi capability and it has been completely useless to try and watch any streaming video. Shows are interrupted at least 5-10 times in the first 3 minutes of a show or movie. I have a second player for Netflix as well as a computer and both work seamlessly so I know it is the Samsung player and not the service.
Do not purchase this if you intend to use it for any online apps or streaming video.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor wifi capabilities
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First Blu-ray

This is the first Blu-ray I have ever owned and I really like it. The picture is amazing and, after a friend set it all up, it's very easy to use.
My only complaint is that while watching wireless streaming Netflix, it spends too much time buffering during movies or shows. However since I attached it to the modem with an ethernet cable, the speed is great. Of course, being the novice that I am, I don't know if that is a fault of this machine or the cable modem.
I would certainly recommend this to a friend. Honestly. Plus, it goes great with my Samsung TV.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight, great picture
Cons: speed of streaming netflix?

When i first purchased this blu ray player, it was great. Within less than a year of having it, everything is messing up. I have sent off to be repaired, cant watch certain movies even after updating software and firmware, and every other week it seems there is a new problem with it. It has great features but I would not recommend this product to anyone.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

lots of nice features and value. touch sensitive controls on the player are really convenient. loads fast. slim lightweight design is really convenient as i have numerous TV and stereo units in a rack.

This is my first blu ray and I am not all that impressed so far. The blu ray tends to freeze up quite a bit and takes a long time to load an actual Blu Ray disc. My MLB application has choppy audio and never works so MLB says they are working with Samsung and it has been over a month with no results and is very frustrating.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: mlb app problems, freezes a lot, looks like my old dvd i had that up converts hd

I bought this because of the Wireless adapter already in it. The player keeps freezing and I know it is not our internet because I have checked. In order for it to get unfrozen I have to turn the unit off I should not have to do this all the time. The features are nice if they would not freeze

Samsung Blu-Ray disc playet

I love, love, love, my Samsung Blu-ray player with wi-fi. i got tired of paying a boatload for my cable TV and not getting any decent shows. I disconnected my cable and with my blu-ray and hulu and netflix I can watch the shows I like anytime I want to. I can see the weather and play games. I'm 66 years old and was afraid I wouldn't be able to hook it up, but it was a breeze. Even for me.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, simple to use.

I was going to purchase an Apple TV since I have an iPad but decided to go with this Blu-Ray player instead. Besides the obvious difference of being able to play DVDs, the internet connectivity and included apps made it almost a no-brainer. The Netflix functionality is awesome. Setup was a bit of a pain since the player goes into the setup routine immediately after being turned on for the first time. I wasn't quite ready for that and made a mistake that took a while to correct. The remote could be a bit better. Overall great value for the money
