The smart hub wants to update every day or every other day. It has now been updating for an hour. Restarted the device and still went to updating. how can you use a device that takes more than an hour to update and enjoy it
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to set up, easy to set up wireless (w/WPS button on router), and great link to Netflix via the remote button. Access to other internet sites is also a bonus! Try it, you'll like it!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, good remote.
Cons: none!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Setting it up takes INCREDIBLE patience
on August 4, 2011

We've only had the product installed a few days now but it delivers everything I could have hoped for and expected. However, the set-up was one frustration after another. An example: so far I've had to fill out at least 6 different forms, using a 'virtual' keyboard on the screen. Very slow process. One screen suggests you use your eMail address to fill in a blank, but an eMail address requires the use of the '@' symbol, which is nowhere to be found on the keyboard. It's there, if you use the shift key to switch to a different keyboard, but the manual doesn't tell you this. Another example: my first several attempts to run something from the Apps list resulted in a message on screen "Noise Interference. Try again later." but no explanation to be found about what this means and what I could do to solve the problem. After deciding that the problem could only be the result of a weak signal from my router, I went and bought a 'Range Extender' which took my level of bars from 2 up to 5 and that solved the mysterious "Noise Interference" issue. Again, a fine product, no operating problems, but if you don't have a teen ager in the house, be PATIENT and just work your way through the set-up procedure.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, internet ready, simple to use
Cons: set-up was a real challenge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

WiFi Blu-ray Disc Player (BD-D5700)

This product has been a marginal performer at best, but mostly it's been nothing but a pain. This WiFi Blu-ray Disc Player (BD-D5700) has always under achieved my expectations. The inspiration for this review is that for the past week every time I turn on the WiFi Blu-ray Disc Player (BD-D5700) and go to The HUB the unit begins an update...that never finishes. If I turn off the player, then turn on again the same cycle happens all over again. This will be my one and ONLY Samsung purchase that I will ever make.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, allshare is a joke
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Waste of Money

Installation is a snap and that is the only positive thing I can say.
Remote control is not compatible with any of my other devices even though they are less than three years old.
BlueRay movie Advatar demands USB memory, not included. And when playing movie on HDMI, scene changes stutter.
With a 3 meg Internet connection, SmartHub movie apps have performance issues. In fact everything SmartHub is ssslllooowww.
HDMI interface fails to control power to other devices.
Whole product was designed for a Samsung world. Don't purchase if you have other vendors on HDMI as you will have a table of remote controls.
Pros: easy install
Cons: Poor quality, poor blueray performance, remote control has limited compatability, poor smarthub performance

The first problem I had was the video not showing up on the television. I tried other HDMI cables AND inputs. It is not a constant problem but VERY annoying when it happens. When browsing online for movies, it tends to freeze up. And, no, it's not the internet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
