I recently purchased a new Blu-ray player, my first. I am very happy with the ease of use and particularly the app features. It was very easy to set up and I even got it set-up without asking a teenager. :o) My husband needed one too and after trying two other brands(which were very difficult to use) I went and got him the same model. We are both quite pleased.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight

Blu ray that won't play blu ray disks

My player is 2 months and only plays 1/3 of the blu ray disks I own. How long does it take to write a codex that will actually play disks. I have a Samsung fridge, love it, a tv love, but 4 blu ray I would definetly look elsewhere!
Cons: won't play disks
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this DVD player in December 2011 in an effort to reduce my monthly entertainment budget. I signed up for Netflix streaming. The picture quality is excellent! I stream all my shows through Netflix and I was able to reduce my entertainment budget drastically!

To start out with, I will admit it is a bit pricey. I was hoping I could get it cheaper, but considering the value of Samsung products, and the features of this specific player, it was worth the sale price.
It is very easy to setup. No problems at all except with me remote from directtv. I love the sleek look and the easy touch interface. It is a fingerprint magnet but you shouldn't be touching it that often. Other than that, the quality is top notch and the usage is so easy.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: pricey, fingerprint magnet

Easy setup, good features, clean design. Skips occasionally when loading and speeds up on DVDs once in a great while for a second or two. Once a week at tops on both accounts though. Touch screen sometimes requires second touch. Overall very pleased for the price.

Cons: occasional speedup
