Gas is the only way to cook!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was chosen as our option when we built our new home and I’m so glad we did. The cooking capability of gas is much better than electric, cooks faster, more evenly, and gives even crusts/char. I love the 5 burned too because I can cook a whole meal at once.

My new cook top

I have been using the Electrolux 36 in cook top now for around a month, I am a chef in our European style home bistro and this cook top is the bomb! I love it, I was going to opt for a commercial top but because people would be watching me cook I wanted something that complimented our home and kitchen design while giving me commercial performance, this top does the trick, no pot too big or heavy for this cook top, and people are amazed when they see it, I'm amazed when I use it!
Now we're cooking with gas! Love it :)

Beautiful looks

I really like my gas cooktop. It's very easy to clean and it looks beautiful in my kitchen. It's easy to clean because anything that sticks to it comes out easily and once I do it, it looks new. The only problem is that the little rubber pieces attached to the bottom of the grates have come out easily. They need to be replaced and that happened very quickly.

Besides being beautiful, this cooktop is all I hoped it would be. It is very easy to control the heat. The controls seem more sensitive than other gas stoves I have owned. It just has a good, solid feel about it. The grates don't move, they are level all the way across the top so you can scoot pots and pans around. The high heat burner really IS high heat! There are two design changes I would make: First, I would put the "medium" heat (the right front) into the rear left, so the simmer burner and the next to highest heat are not adjacent to one another.that would make the two front burners the "regular" burners. Of course, then you couldn't use the griddle-grill accessory. Second, my simmer burner is still a little too hot. Once even large pans are at a simmer, they really are boiling while on the simmer burner, even when turned all the way down. Of course, this may be homeowner adjustable, I haven't checked.
No matter, it is the finest cooktop I have ever owned, and a good value for the price.

Electrolux 36" Gas Cooktop

This is the second Electrolux gas cooktop we have had.
We like the design and layout of the controls. Keeps them out of the way for small children The simmer feature on the new gas cooktop makes keeping things warm very easy even though it is gas. You can move large pots from one burner to another area of the cooktop

Excellence with money saved

We were shopping for a new cooktop and saw the electrolux at a local retailer. Liked the number and arrangement of the burners and of course easy clean up with the stainless steel. With the cast iron grates it cooks very even. We decided to look on line as the local cost was more than we wanted to pay and saved over 400.00. So for us it was a WIN. We will be replacing other kitchen appliances as needed and will definitely go back to the online retailer and of course order them in stainless steel. Great product with a great price!!!!!!!!
