Smaller double ovens (27-30")

I had Dacor double ovens. After 14 years of hard use (we entertain alot); the ovens wore out - electronic panel went out; electric element went out, and screws and brackets rusted out). I tried the Electrolux because of dealer recommendations, online reviews and tv commmercials. The ovens work fairly well; these ovens don't seem to cook as evenly as the Dacor ovens (hot and cold spots in the ovens) also, Electrolux ovens seem to require more frequent cleaning...there is a greater accumulation of grease from roasting, broiling, etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing Quality

Purchased and installed in early 2009. Have had clock repaired 4x. The last time I had to cover repairs. Each time clock and timer kit were replaced. Repairs done March 2009, May 2009, November 2009. Problem was always that LED lights burned out on clock, each time part #7316516538 was replaced.
Would love to discuss this further as I have all the details of my ordeal. Will think twice before I buy an electrolux again which is a shame because I bought this oven thinking I would match refrigerator and dishwasher with similar electrolux looks.

Broken Inner Lower Door Glass

After only 15 months since installation the inner glass in the lower door of this model has shattered (both front and rearmost panes are intact). I expected better serviceability from what I consider to be a higher-end kitchen appliance. Otherwise we like the features of this double-oven unit.

So excited to finally get a new oven...

but unfortunately, I'm so unhappy with it. I have never complained about anything before, but feel I really must speak my mind, to help others.
I love that the racks pull out, love the theatre lighting, love the rapid preheat, the convection, I even love how the food comes out. However, since the 1st time I've used it, the windows are "cloudy" and steam-up & while I'm cooking making it very difficult to see in the oven door, making it necessary to open the door just to check on the food. It happens every time I use it. When the dealer sent a repairman to replace the door (since it came with a big dent in it) and I explained this problem, he told me that it was impossible for anything to get through the seal of the oven door, but that just isn't the case. When a different repair man came the next time (since the 1st time they sent the wrong parts to fix the banged door), this guy also told me it was impossible. Well....something is going on. The doors never look clean and it's frustrating.
As well, I've burned myself probably 5-6 times already as the doors don't open flat; being on a slight angel, when I go to pull the sliding rack out, I often brush my arm against the hot door. NOT happy with that design!
As well, I wish that when you're using only 1 oven at a time the lights didn't go on for both ovens; what a waste,
And because the oven door only shows the time, it's quite frustrating to figure out WHERE to touch to get the display panel to light-up. My husband cannot figure it out even to this day! Again, poor design. Plus, the fingerprints drive me crazy!
My owned my last double wall convection oven for over 20 years and never had any of these problems.
I apologize for being so harsh, but again, I thought it should be said. I would not recommend this oven to anyone!

The oven works great and has excellent features. The controls are easy to understand and use with easy clean up. The only problem I had was the first time I used the oven door lock the lock jammed the oven door shut. Contacted Electrolux and they had a local company come out and replace the lock motor right away. I would recommend this oven.

Poor Reliability

I l;ike the design and functionality of this oven however have had several relkiability issues.
Within twelve months of purchase several digits on the clock display would not light. This was fixed under warranty but seems to have been a known problem.
Now, I cannot clean the upper oven The oven does not sense when the cleaning racks are removed and will not start the clean cycle.
Out of warranty so sounds expensive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this oven in May of 2008 when I remodeled my entire kitchen. By August 2008 the lighting around the clock on the display panel began to burn out. The control panel was replaced. It is know February 2011 and I am experiencing the same problem with the light burning out around the clock of the display panel. Seems to be a design defect. As a result of the reoccurring issue with the control panel I would not recommend this oven.

I purchased my wall ovens a few months ago. They are without a doubt the nicest designed and efficiently operating ovens I have ever owned. The fast preheat and bread proofing features are a life saver. Love everything about them. I would purchase Electrolux to replace any appliance I own.
I would recommend this to a friend!
