Not very happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not happy with the quality and workmanship - edges sharp and button off center - although an inexpensive model - the finishing workmanship should be better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Effective Downdraft

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this hood late last year and so far are extreemly pleased with it's performance. We have a very sensitive smoke detector close to the kitchen and it lets us know (with a piercing scream) as soon as the slightest cooking fumes leave the kitchen. Up to now the downdraft has successfully removed all our fumes and kept the smoke alarm quiet, except a couple of times we forgot to activate the hood but even then as soon as the hood was raised the smoke alarm was quieted.
We've withheld a fifth star only because we find the speed control to be very limited and certainly far from the "infinite" control claimed on the website. A very cost effective and good looking solution for a cooktop with no overhead hood.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this to go along with our new induction cooktop in our island. Our previous cooktop was also downdraft so we started with that style. We love this one, has a strong pull when working and goes along with our flat surface cooktop when we are not using it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Expected Better Than This!!

Bought this fan less than 2 years ago to work with island gas cook top. Have not used it over 20 times and the switch to raise the fan for operation is broken so we have no exhaust. When it was working the variable speed never worked so it was extremely loud. I expected better from Frigidaire. Hope to get it fixed soon.
