Fan stopped working after 1 month

Just bought a brand new house with fridgiair gallery line installed. The fan stopped blowing after 1 month the light still turn on. Bad product bad experience

Motor broke down within 4 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this along with 4 other Frigidaire appliances in my new home. We always use the furnace at low fan speed to reduce the noise since we have 2 infants in thw house. However, 4 months in, the fan just abruptly stopped. I called in for support and the service person who visited us informed that its just a bad motor and bappens, what we should do is buy this additional coverage plan because we dont always honor warranty, here are 5 times when we dont. So, i was upsokd a new warranty type in my existing warranty period to address a faulty motor that came with my hood?

Bad Motors

We’ve had our for 2 months. During the time it works it’s fine, but we will now be on our second motor since. MOTORS ARE BAD!!!

Fan dies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is a defect in the fan motor that will not allow you to use the highest speed or the motor will go out. Mine has gone out twice and i was informed don't use the high setting as the motor will go out again. I'm not sure why Frigidaire is still selling this with this known defect. Don't buy this model.

Loud Loud Loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan is SO LOUD and the amount of air it pulls just doesn’t match the volume. It works okay. It isn’t great but will get the job done... just make sure you have ear protection on hand.

loud sound

In the specification, the sound level is 69.9 dBA and I checked with the customer service that the range is 58.5-69.9 dBA (1-3 speeds). Mine actual sound is from 72 dBA-82 dBA
I talked with customer service again about the loud sound and here is the reply.
"This may just be how they are manufactured, and unfortunately, I do not manufacture the units. I have no other suggestions as to why it is louder than specified"
Given there are so many people complaining about the loud sound, I am very confused why the specification is so different from the actual sound level.

Not reliable

I renovated the complete Kitchen including this new hood fan FHWC3055S.
At first the noise was a concern but for that number of CFM I'm ok to accept this inconvenience. My biggest problem is on a diner with gests the hood fan stopped working after the third time usage. That was really embarrassing.
Now because of this experience, we are not sure if we lean on the warranty or just buy another brand the fact if the warranty replace the broken part with the same problem parts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your hood vent experience with us, behney. Your wall mounted vent hood has our highest capacity to move air at 400 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM). CFM is a standard measurement found in many forms of ventilation, both in vehicle and in home heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. With your hood having the highest capacity available today, in our canopy wall mounted hoods, this movement of air would produce sound. Your hood is stated to operate on high at 69.9 decibels, which compares from between a conversation at 3 feet away, to a vacuum cleaner running or a television on loud. Is the sound you are hearing more of a vibration? If so, this may be related to installation, and would necessitate contacting your installer. If your hood was installed with many bends in the ductwork, this would also impact the efficiency of the air flow.
