beautiful but shockingly loud

Love the way this hood looks, and the easy-to-clean finish, but this hood is so loud I cannot believe it actually was approved for sale to customers! we regret the purchase unfortunately. loudest hood I ever heard, we can't even use it.

I purchased this hood online, thinking it was identical to the Frigidaire Professional Hood we had at our previous home, but it is not the same. It has a much shallower profile, and even the lowest fan setting sounds like a freight train when in operation. In addition, it came scratched and dented, although a quickcall to Frigidaire resulted in a fast replacement being sent; just need to completely disassemble and reassemble now with the new one... :-(

Nice looks but with a major flaw

The hood looks very nice, controls are very easy and practical, lighting is good. The problem I had is that it is extremely loud even at the Lowe fan speed way above the specifications (several sones above). I know hoods are loud and I used many loud ones before, but this one you have to shout in the ear for someone else to hear you and that's in the living room next to the kitchen (you cannot stay in the kitchen without ear plugs or some sort of noise reducing headphones). I suspect i have a defective unit and will be contacting the manufacturer. I hope this is not how it's supposed to sound!

Great Look, Terrible Sound

I like to look of the hood and the light is really bright, which is nice. However it is way too loud - you can't hear anything else when it is on.

Looks great, but extremely loud

While the hood performs well, the noise is extremely loud. Even on low, the hood is so loud that you can't hear anything else around you. For that reason, I tend to only use the hood when absolutely necessary. Disappointed, especially considering Frigidaire is normally such a great brand.

Just don’t!

We got the Frigidaire appliance package with our new build home purchased in May. After the first month the ice maker from the fridge stop working. About 2 months later the motor from the hood vent stop working. Took over a month and many days off to wait for them to fix it. Just got the motor replaced about 2 weeks ago and now the motor has stop working again. I’m just beyond frustrated right now because we just move in not too long ago. We just want to enjoy our new home. We also are self employees, all the days we took off waiting for the technician to come fix we don’t get pay from work. We took a total of 4 days off of work already between the fridge and the vent. And the repair company never have anything available on our days off or soon. They are also rude and hard to talk to. I’m afraid to call them right now. Just save yourself trouble and buy a different model or brand.

We just moved into a new townhouse with this unit. All the kitchen appliances were already installed. They are all frigidaire and we are very pleased with all...except the range hood. It looks great but is practically unusable because of the noise level. It also stopped working the second time we used it and now we need it repaired. I'm hoping we can just replace it with a quieter hood.

Poor experience

Unfortunately the hood fan stopped working after 30 days and I have had several weeks of erroneous support calls and arrangements and apparently still have to wait several more weeks for repair. Not a good experience at all.
