I would like to suggest a bit of rubber somewhere on the outside of the case. I have always bought an otterbox since my iphone 3 and there has always been some kind of rubber bumper so it is not so slick when set on a moving surface i.e. on my dash board is where my phones have always lived when in travel; with this resurgence it tends to travel across the dashboard.
I am a little bit surprise at the lack of a screen cover too. I did know this in advance because it was disclosed and decided to purchase a privacy style screen protector. I do have to admit I love being at work and around lunch time notice my phone getting a bit lower then I prefer and hit that button and put it back in my pocket and know it is getting charged. I also love that is will stop charging and save the battery for future charges. I did wonder at why sometimes it will show it has ¼ battery left and sometimes it will charge and other times no response, I am not sure if that is normal or not. FYI, the device does get hot when charging so I do try to keep it in a vented area while actually charging so not to damage the phone or the case.
I have shown it to many of my co-workers and many seem very interested as we are all on the move and to slow down for a cord in the middle of the day or go into the red or dead zone is a definite no no.

Amazing case

Both me and my Dad absolutely love the case. Perfect for all your long days away from home, so u never have to be a wall hugger. Not only do you get double the battery life you get flawless protection, unlike its mophie counterparts.The only problem we had was the charging port some how lost its ability to hang onto our cords making it very difficult for it to gain the power it needed. But that's why I recommend Otter box you hit up there warranty and your back in business!

Clever Charge Control System

As an electronics design engineer I am impressed by the charge control system. Initial charge/discharge current only flows to/from the iPhone battery. You monitor the charge state using the iPhone battery readout. The backup battery charge state can be read by briefly pushing the contol button on the back of the case and it lights up to four circle segments around the button. Each segment signifying a 25% share. Only after the iPhone battery is fully charged will it automatically switch to charging the backup battery. The backup battery will charge the iPhone battery when the user pushes and holds down the control button for 1-3sec. Works well. I haven't had a single instance of accidentally starting a charge.
Would like a longer 6' charge cable length that is more flexible. Also I was disappointed that there is NO protection of the iPhone display built into this case. Had to order that seperately.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: no phone display protection, short charge cable

I really like this case. Having the battery gives me so much time without having to charge. I listen to my audiobooks with my iPhone and this is great, Battery going low, no problem, just push the button and pouf - charging up. I also drop my phone at least 2 or 3 times a week and this case stands up to my clumsy moves!!!

Love my Resurgence

Dropped my phone in a hot pot of Taco Soup last night. Immediate retrieval and after taking off the case, very little soup actually reached my phone...mostly around the screen edges of the phone....will never be without an Otter Box!

This is a great product that performs as advertised, and is well worth the difference in price with the Otter Box Defender for the extra battery life it provides. It does not interfere with any of the phone's operations, and the very slight increase in the overall length of the case is not problematic.
If you do anything outdoors for prolonged periods...fish, hint, hike, camp, etc., where access to a charging source may be limited this could be a lifesaver.

Was out in the backcountry snowshoeing for hours in extremely cold weather when I realized the power level was nearly at 0. Re-energized with my Otter backup battery and maintained my connection with home and my outdoor adventure went without a hitch.

Needs a belt clip

Bought this because we wanted the Alpha glass, which doesn't work with the Defender. Did not know that there was no belt clip available as an accessory for this case. I see now that other reviewers had the same disappointment.
Perfect combo for me would be Military Rated durability; belt clip; shatterproof screen protector. Extra battery life is a plus but is not a deal breaker. Have not decided yet whether to return.
