This product is superb. The picture quality is outstanding. I've had no problems with this TV and the set up process is very simple just follow the prompts. I will definitely buy another Samsung TV in the future. Oh, I also purchased the Samsung Blu-ray player(BD-H6500) it up-converts well. As for my TV Its the UN50HU8550 (50").
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

This 4K HDTV was simple to install with HDMI cables to DVD, Cable and receiver. Picture quality as expected - fantastic.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

I PURCHASED THE UN50HU8550 AROUND CYBER MONDAY AS A EARLY CHRISTMAS TREAT TO MYSELF. I PREVIOUSLY HAD THE TOP END MODEL FROM SEVERAL YEARS AGO UN46C9000FXZA AND LET ME TELL YOU THAT TV WAS AMAZING MAINLY BECAUSE IT HAD A REMOVEABLE MOTHERBOARD MAKING IT THE SLIMMEST TV I HAVE EVER SEEN, EVEN ALL CURRENT MODELS NOW ARE NOT AS SLIM AS THAT WAS. BUT BACK TO THE HU8550 ULTRA HD 4K. JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT 1080P WAS AMAZING OR BLU RAYS WERE THE BEST OF THE BEST, WRONG....UHD 4K VIDEO PACKED ON SAMSUNG'S UHD MEDIA PLAYER IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE EVER SEEN. SURE I AM A LITTLE UPSET THAT THERE ISNT MORE CONTENT AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW BUT LIKE ANYTHING ELSE, JUST GIVE IT SOME TIME. BUT TO TRULY ENJOY THIS TV YOU WILL NEED THE UHD VIDEO PACK TO REALLY FEEL AND EXPERIENCE TRUE 4K. THE 4K UPSCALING IS GOOD TO A DEGREE. ITS BETTER ON BLU RAYS THEN SAY ANY PROVIDER OUT THERE NOW. YOU WILL HAVE TO ADJUST SETTINGS PROPERLY AS THE UPSCALING CAN MAKE YOU SEE PIXELS OR OTHER OVERBLEMISHING MARKS, BUT THATS NOT A BIG DEAL. SAMSUNG'S STOCK SETTINGS ARE PRETTY GOOD BUT YOU WILL DEF NEED TO TWEAK IT A LITTLE BIT TO YOUR LIKING. THE SMOOTH REFRESH RATE WORKING WITH THE UHD 4K AND THE MEDIA PLAYER TRULY PUT YOU IN THE ACTION OF THE MOVIE LIKE NEVER BEFORE. IT IS ALMOST A 3D FEEL WITH OUT THE GLASSES AND 3D TECHNOLOGY.
I AM NOT REALLY BIG IN THE SMART HUB, JUST MY OPINION, BUT IT DOES HAVE A LOT OF FUNCTIONS. THE NEW LITTLE MOTION REMOTE IS VERY COOL AND RESPONSIVE. I ALSO LINKED THE REMOTE WITH MY CABLE BOX , SO IT CONTROLS THE TV AND CABLE FOR ME, AS WELL AS YOU CAN USE THE APP ON THE NOTE4 OR OTHER DEVICES AS WELL. THE REMOTE ALSO FITS COMFORTABLY AND WELL INTO ONE HAND AS IF ITS MEANT TO BE THERE.
I ALSO USED THE SCREEN MIRRORING FEATURE. VERY AWESOME FEATURE THAT WORKS PERFECT WITH MY NOTE4 ESPECIALLY SINCE THE NOTE4 SHOOTS 2K VIDEO, IT DOESNT LOOSE ANY QUALITY FROM PHONE TO TV, JUST AS SMOOTH AND CRISP AS IT PLAYS ON THE PHONE.
THE SPEAKERS OF COURSE, AS ON MOST NEW TVS ARENT THAT GREAT AT ALL ACTUALLY I FIND THEM WORSE ON THIS TV THEN MY 9000 MODEL FEW YEARS AGO. THE SOUND MODES THEY ADDED ARE OK, NOTHING SPECIAL. I ACTUALLY USE MY THEATER SYSTEM MORE NOW BECAUSE I DONT LIKE HOW IT SOUNDS TO MY EARS. BUT SPEAKERS SHOULD NOT STOP YOU FROM THIS TV AT ALL!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU HAVE JUST A DROP OF TV KNOWLEDGE YOU WILL KNOW THAT TV SPEAKERS ARE NOT GREAT ON ANY MODEL/BRAND.
LASTLY, IF YOU ARE A GAMER AS I AM, ADJUSTED PROPERLY THEY LOOK EVEN MORE AMAZING AND YOU DONT NEED TO TURN GAME MODE ON JUST SHUT THE REFRESH RATE.
SORRY ONE LAST THING THAT JUST HIT ME THAT WORKS GREAT ALSO AND IF YOU GET YELLED AT BY YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER OR WIFE FOR HAVING THE VOLUME TO LOUD. IF YOU HAVE A STEREO BLUETOOTH HEADSET LAYING AROUND LIKE I DID YOU CAN PAIR IT UP WITH THE TV AND EVERYTHING COMES THROUGH THE HEADPHONES PERFECTLY. I WAS PLAYING THE LAST OF US WITH IT ON AND ITS GREAT AND LOUD AS WELL.
SO IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY, GO OUT AND BUY THIS TV RIGHT NOW AND BUY THE UHD VIDEO PACK, I GOT THE ONE WITH 10 FULL MOVIES AND LIKE10 OR SO DOCUMENTARIES WHICH ARE ALSO AWESOME IF YOU WANT TO DISPLAY THE PICTURE FOR GUEST AND SOM ARE FEW MINUTES LONG AND SOME ARE 40 MINUTES. EITHER WAY YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED AT ALL!!!!!!!! AND IT IS ALSO FUTURE PROOF YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO BUY A CONNECT BOX IN THE FUTURE TO UPDATE THE TV!!!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, plenty of features, stereo bluetooth headset, great remote, future proof
Cons: built in speakers are poor, not enough uhd 4k content

Set up was easy. Menus easy to navigate. Beautiful profile. Picture is magnificent! Even the sound is surprising good for such a thin TV.
I will probably buy a 65" of the same model for my family room.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, great picture

I was hesitant to buy this TV at first due to the price. I eventually ended up buying and I have to say I haven't regretted it since. Worth every dollar. I initially had an issue with netflix when I first got it but thanks to the great tech support I received it was fixed in a matter of minutes
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, all entertainment in one convenient location

great tv, but poor built in speakers

Love this tv, but a few turn offs, built in speakers are completely useless. smart hub platform seems to lag regardless of "quadcore".
Picture is great :) buying a surround sound system this week.
