We were trying to find an affordable chopper. Very familiar with the cuisinart name and quality. Plus this is super easy to take apart and clean and reassemble. One if the reasons we bought it.

I purchased it because i was desperately looking for something that would ease my work of chopping onions and tomatoes. The Chopper is good for tomatoes but for onions i see it chopping 70% of onion piece. if you try to chop further the already chopped one becomes fine and the ones thats not chopped remain as it is... also, it gives uneven size of chopped onion.
Other thing is the fine pieces of onions gets left on the inner edge of the blade and you need to clean it under tap thoroughly... I would certainly not recommend it over hand pressed chopper that you get online and in store.

Having purchased this chopper mainly because of the Cuisinart name, I can say that I am quite dissatisfied with its performance. It will easily chop boiled eggs, soft olives and nuts. Anything with a skin such as green or Kalamata olives and especially bell peppers ends up sort of hacked, but not quite cut through. You have to remove the pieces and continue to cut them with a knife. If I had kept the box and receipt, I would have returned this item. It is not worth the price.
