This simple device is very handy and greatly reduces prep time. It is a good value and sturdily constructed. Occasionally, the chopper will jam and the palm pusher will not spring back up. I would strongly recommend as a improvement that the lock indications on the metal body of the chopper be reversed. Since the arrow markings for locking and releasing are printed on the metal body I was at first confused. It was only by carefully examining the transparent cup did I notice the molded matte arrows on it which correspond with the directional arrows on the metal body. I had assumed that because the lettering was on the metal body it was that part I was supposed to be turning. I think it would be more intuitive for users if the 'LOCK' and 'RELEASE' lettering on the body were transposed. Cleaning of the chopper is easy and it is possible to thoroughly clean the blades. I haven't tried it but is the product dishwasher safe?

I purchased this item to compare it with an item I purchased from another manufacturer. While the Cuisinart, looks better, from a physical point of view. The Oxo is a much better. It is more solid, sturdier of a product, for less. Sorry, but Oxo, beat you out this time.
