Chops firm items like carrots and onions, but doesn't chop leafy things, which I'm sure isn't the primary purpose. Use and cleaning are easy.

First, I am a stay-at-home "FOODIE" who absolutely loves to cook and be creative in the kitchen. This chopper is extremely well made and very easy to use and clean. The cutting blades are significantly sharper than those found on any other food choppers I have used! I paid a premium price for it at the grocery store, as at the time I needed the item late at night and very last minute. It has, however, proven to be worth every penny! I can't wait to get my next CUISINART gadget or appliance!
