I bought this because I saw a similar device on James May's Oh Cook! I didn't even know something like this existed but now I have it I think it's amazing. I did a lot of research on the 'slapchop' type devices and this one had the highest reviews and they were not wrong! I highly recommend this chopper - chops well, good build, robust, easy to clean. What more could you ask for.

Product is nice. The blades do not seem to turn with each chop as I expected it to. Takes a little longer to cut into smaller pieces than my Pampered Chef model. It is handy to chop up small amounts instead of taking out a large food processor.

It doesn’t chop onion unless it’s in smaller pieces and then gets stuck. I didn’t use the base to hold any food in. I had a different brand chopper years ago and was hoping this one would work as well if not better but didn’t unfortunately.
