I purchased the chopper for one primary reason, to easily chop herbs. I am very disappointed in its ability to do that. The blades are not sharp enough so they end up smashing and squishing the herbs rather than cleaning chopping them. To clean the device was a real pain since the herbs stuck on the blades. I had to use my fingers to clean the blades and because they retract when you you are not pushing down, it was a difficult task to accomplish. I returned the chopper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This chopper is very simple. Now, I will say that if you have aggressive tendencies, this is the machine for you. Five or six hard slaps and you have perfectly chopped vegetables. So far, onions, jalapeños, carrots, celery and even firm tomatoes are a breeze.
Also, based on some reviews, I was a little concerned about cleanup. That is pretty easy with just basic rinsing involved.
Overall, it is a timesaver and beyond my expectations.

I have bought several mini electric minichoppers over the years, but never could manage to coarsely chop rather than purée with those.
I like the mini chopper because I can control how finely the vegetables are chopped.

Stainless Steel Choper is really a steal of money

This is my first Cuisinart product that I can't recommend in a positive way. I tried to use it to cut onions, peppers and tomatoes without any success. The blades are really poor and you need to press really strong in order to made the product work poorly.

I’ve had four of these they get heavy use every 2 months and last about a year and a half before something just goes wrong and they quit running but while they’re running they do a great job. They have an 18 month warranty which they honor so I use it till it breaks and when it brakes I called them up they sent me a new one; can I ask for anything better than that! (No) Calling them and getting a replacement was actually quite easy and only took about a week until I had a new in my hand so if the warranty runs out and itbrakes again I’ll buy another one.
