I prepare homemade broccoli tots for my son and the Cuisinart Stainless Steel Chopper works perfectly for this. Instead of constant knife cutting, the chopper takes the veg down to the size and consistency needed to hand roll the tots. I highly recommend it for this procedure.

This chopper has a nice concept but has some significant flaws. The chopper is able to provide a more coarse chop to nuts but the design of the chopper can cause immense frustration! The plastic piece that screws onto the metallic portion of the chopper does not have a firm tight seal. That part separated while I was chopping and sent nuts flying all over the kitchen counter and floor!
The black rubber bottom piece does not secure tightly either. Sometimes the chopper gets stuck in the down position and you have to pull the top handle up to release the blades from the down position. When I went to pull the top of the chopper up to lift the blades, the rubber seal on the base of the chopper came undone and again - the nuts flew all over the counter and floor!
I like the ability to chop to the correct coarseness but they really need to work on their design flaws. It that were fixed, I would really like this chopper.

I bought this specifically to chop herbs and it doesn't chop them. It smashes them, wet or dry, and I have to take out another appliance to chop them. A waste of money.

I frequently use a chopper like the Cuisinart to chop walnuts. I have tried several products that did not prove to be durable, and purchased the Cuisinart in part due to the excellent reputation of the brand. I am very disappointed in the product. The plastic blade guard comes off nearly every time the container is opened, which quite annoying when you are chopping multiple batches of something. The base does not stay firmly attached, and easily comes off when trying to open the container, spilling its contents. It also chops somewhat unevenly.
