Happy and sad

Bought the slide in range w/two ovens a little over 4 years ago. I have LOVED both the cooktop and ovens. Sleek design is easily cleaned. Features are wonderful: two timers, many presets, Power Boil. But I'm so sad to say that a recent needed repair priced us out of making that repair (and of course we are not in warranty). I realize that the life expectancy of any large appliance is only 5-8 years, but I would have liked it to have lasted closer to that 5-yr mark for such an expensive range. Unsure if I can recommend it. 5 stars for the range; 3 for the life expectancy. Just a note to others, some magnetic cookware is better/faster than others on induction. My advice is to try a small fry or sauce pan first before investing in a whole set. Some just work faster than others. Don't cheap out on your cookware.

Oh goodness Loved and lost!

Sorry to hear the love of your kitchen needed some TLC. We can understand your concern and feedback. Though no manufacturer can guarantee against repairs or service visit with any of their models, we feel awful about the experience you’ve encountered recently with your range.

Please know we do not have a set life expectancy for our appliances, however, the life expectancy of our appliances can usually be limited to the serviceability of the appliance. We appreciate your loyalty and the awesome suggestion about cookware.

Should you need any assistance at all or have any questions, please contact us at 1-877-435-3287 Monday-Friday 8am-8pm EST and Saturday 9am-6pm EST at your convenience.

Kindly-CiCi

I have read and heard how the induction and convection cooks better and faster. I wish I had bought my stove when they first came out.

My son has an Electrolux induction range that I had the opportunity. I purchased for me. It is even better than I thought it would be. It cooks faster and more evenly. The kitchen temperature remains lower, ( a great advantage in southern Texas). The convection oven cooks more evenly than my previous one. I am a happy cooker.

I am disappointed.

My complaints are that the oven takes just as long to warm up as a regular oven and I am supposed to be able to boil water in 90 seconds and I haven't been able too. I bought a new set of cookware to use with it but I guess they weren't induction. At first the baking was excellent but here lately biscuits are burning on the bottoms. I don't know if it's me or the oven. I have been busy with a massive kitchen remodel so I haven't spent a lot of time figuring it out. It does looks nice but I clean it constantly and the stainless on top is getting minor scratches. It is sleek and doesn't have knobs and has luxury racks and lighting. There is no Elena on the bottom so it cleans easy. I bought it because I bought the stand alone freezer and refrigerator and received the Electrolux dishwasher for free. Those are great appliances! I've had it for 3 months.

Hey Chantilly, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us regarding your new range. For cookware to work on an induction surface, it must be magnetic and have a completely flat bottom. In general, most stainless steel and cast iron cookware will work. Here's a simple test: Try sticking a magnet to the bottom of your pan. If the magnet sticks, that cookware should work; if it doesn’t, most likely the cookware is not compatible with an induction cooktop surface. Hope this information is helpful! -Jennifer

Induction stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Moved a few months ago and chose an induction stove, and this is what turned up. Maybe should have looked around more before taking my chances. The controls are designed by engineers, not cooks, and they are not logical. No knobs, just buttons to push to determine which burner, which level. You have to keep reading the manual to make sense of the instructions.
At first I tried scrambling eggs on the back burner that was the same size as the pan (as recommended). But it was such a reach, with the guide panel sticking out in front, that it was a problem, because you're stirring all the time. So I took one of my kids' advice and used the small frying pan on the large front burner. Sigh. Please consult cooks before designing such utensils! Please!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought out Electrolux induction range three years ago. I must say it is the best range I have ever used. I am a cast iron cook and love the fact all of my dishes worked and I easily used my cast iron. Win, win for me. Also the fact the oven is blue...my favorite color. Thank you Electrolux!!
