Problems from the beginning

Not what I expected. Thought they were the better product. Was wrong.

This is honestly the first washer I've ever purchased even though I'm middle aged. I always had rentals that had washer/dryer units, and the house I purchased came with a low-end model that had to be a decade old. It never occurred to me how loud and lacking features every unit had until my wife convinced me to just buy this unit. Not to mention - none of the washers I'd used in the last 25 years really, honestly, got my clothes clean (I do mine and the kids laundry because otherwise I'll ruin her stuff and she'll ruin mine).
We have two boys - ages 5 and 7 - and our house backs up to a wooded area with a stream, lots of sticks and mud, occasional frogs, and buckets of rocks to throw in the stream. Neither kid seems to mind walking through the stream in their shoes, even in winter, and due to the nature of the wooded area the top 6" of dirt is heavy in dark organics. The kids get muddy and dirty and every other adjective you want out of two kids playing in the woods for a couple hours. This washer handles that. No problem. Gets the clothes clean.
I also don't like towels that are not white. Perhaps due to my job which takes me on the road a couple times a month, staying in hotels. I just like white towels. And I'm a guy so I shave. And the two kids? They sometimes (always) forget that dirt goes in the sink, not the towels. But since getting this machine we got white towels, and five months later they're still white. Without resorting to using bleach. Seriously.
The unit is quiet, was easy to level, and sufficiently empties the water to the drain without issue. We leave the door open and doing the cleaning cycle as recommended.
The only thing I'd wish I could change was a feature to disable the cycle-finished alarm. Minus 1/4 star for that, but honestly, it is quiet enough we don't hear it most of the time anyway. Still wish I could disable it though.
While more expensive, I suspect in the six months I've had the unit I've saved $100 in clothes that I'd throw away due to staining that the old washer wouldn't have handled. Great unit that I'm happy I bought!

Quick and convenient

Bought washer a little over a year ago and dramatic improvement in timing and cleanliness. Several children so we are constantly doing laundry. We had no idea how much better it could be than our previous 'old school' machine.
