Horrible

We have had this washer for less than a year and this will be the 5th service call on this machine. The first one leaked and once it was fixed it wouldn't even run supposedly the computers in it's brain wasn't communicating… I could go on and on about all the other problems we've had, but this would become a book….Buyer BEWARE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this washer for a few months now, and love it! My favorite feature is the 'fast wash' setting. It enables me to get ALL of my laundry done very quickly! I love it!

After replacing a piece of junk whirlpool front load for multiple controller errors and repairs that would have cost more than a replacement, this piece of junk is coding E13...after 4 MONTHS!

Great choice for the price

Pros - Cost effectively priced, sleek, elegant, relatively quiet, easy to use, easy to stack on the drawer option and lots of features.
Cons - Don't be scared by the lengthy list in the "con" section. I like to point out everything that may or may not be a concern for you so you are well informed. What can I say about all the features and options? How about there are too many for my wife. There is a highly detailed "free" training DVD set that you have to order separately when you register your washer and dryer. Personally, this is something that should be packaged with the manuals and not require the customer to be inconvenienced by filling out paperwork and waiting a week or two so you understand how to use all the different options. The washer is heavy! I mean, they literally put concrete inside the case to help with vibration dampening during the spin cycle. The two big guys from Lowe's were out of wind after taking the unit upstairs to my laundry room 20 minutes later. I will probably have to sell these with the house because I am not moving them ever! The store sales and marketing literature in the store rants about how fast you can wash clothes with this system. I guess it depends on what you mean by "wash". Will it pour water or steam on some clothes and spin them out in 15 minutes? Yes and the cycle is called "Timed wash". There is even a faster mode called "spin and rinse". A "Normal" cycle with the soil type of normal is 40 minutes. Not exactly any faster than your old upright washer. We also notice that we seem to get a mold & mildew smell all over the clothes if we put a load in at night and then move them to the dryer in the morning. To fix this you have to either move your clothes to the dryer within a few hours or rewash on the "Towels" setting which sanitizes the clothes. I point all these things out because at my previous house I had an LG washer and dryer set and had none of these issues. Another thing that I would like to point out is Electrolux shipped these fake looking braided hot and cold water supply hoses that at a quick glance appear to be stainless steel. Warning!!! These hoses are silver colored but braided nylon. Go buy the real stainless steel braided hoses for your own piece of mind. I gave Electrolux should also provide these with a washer and dryer set priced in the $1000+ price range.

Don't buy

Bought washer and dryer set. Door sticks on washer and dryer stopped working a week after we bought it. It took them 1 and a half months to fix and would not replace it even though it was only a week old. Very disappointed in service provided for such a expensive washer dryer. I will not buy a product from this company ever again.

Love the washer, hate the door
on March 12, 2015

I am very happy with the washer, all its features and the amount of clothes that fit in the machine. It rings the clothes out so well, they need less time in the dryer. The one thing I don't like is the spring loaded door. I have the machine a few months and have had service on the door twice. It seems to not line up after a while and doesn't pop open the way it should if at all. Also, the recommendation is to keep the door ajar after you are done washing, but this door stays only half way open or all the way open. Either way doesn't work for me, so either way I need to leave the door to my laundry room open to have the door half way open or if I leave it all they way open is sticks out into the hallway. If this machine had a pull door, I would be happy.

Deep sanitize makes a difference
on March 13, 2015

This washer is truly an electronics masterpiece. I love the options and cycles you can mix and match. The deep sanitize cycle is a piece of mind when we have a baby and knowing everything comes out germ and stain free. It is quiet on spin cycle and clothes come out with a fresh smell either with or without fabric softener. Quick wash in 15 minutes is a bonus. Well done Electrolux.

Maintenance Issues

As of this review, I had the washer for 8 weeks and the washer has had 3 repairs. In between repairs, the washer worked very well. Hopefully, the last repair is the charm. The problems were self loosening screws that caused the pulley and belt to be replaced. During the last repair, the repair tech applied lock-tight on the screws. Let's see if that works. At this time, I would not recommend this washer.
