Overrated

Within 4 months of purchasing this product I had to have it services and major parts replaced. The approved repairman took over one month to complete the job and then wanted me to pay for the extra man it required to replace the drum of the machine. It does work now but certainly not a good start.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stylish and works great

I've had this washer for just about a year now. It has a lot of features and does a great job getting clothes clean using less water. It also matches nicely with our slate appliances. Within the year that I owned it, a pin within the wash cycle selection dial broke. I was still able to turn it, but the dial was very stiff and took several turns before it would change to another cycle. It was still under warranty so it didn't cost anything to replace and the process was hassle free.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my Electrolux washer and dryer. I purchased and installed February 2014 and immediately saw a drop in my water and electric bill. The washer is so quiet that at first I had to keep checking to make sure it was still working. I purchased the washer, dryer and pedestals and set up and installed myself. It was surprisingly easy although I had to call a friend to help with setting the washer upright once the pedestal was attached because it was too heavy for one person. This is my first brand new washer and dryer and I am very happy with my purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Clothes shrunk

When I first started using this machine, I must not have used the right combination of settings because many of my fiancées sweaters and garments shrunk, which had never happened before when using older machines on cold settings. The features appear great but they're pretty complicated to decipher.

After growing up in a household where Electrolux was known as a good dependable name, I am very disappointed in my Electrolux washer. I purchased the Electrolux 4.3 Cu Ft Front Load Washer With IQ-Touch Controls Featuring Perfect Steam in titanium along with the matching perfect steam dryer in February 2013. My washer stopped working in the middle of a laundry load in May of 2014, just a little over a year after purchase...just past the end of the manufacturer's warranty. If I had a large family and had used the appliance excessively I would still expect a washer with this reputation to last much longer. To make matters worse, we are a household of 2 adults. A certified technician was sent out to my home multiple times. Each time that new parts were added they either didn't work or were "fried" due to some sort of electrical issue. However, I can honestly state that I did like the performance up until that point in time. Unfortunately, due to the extremely short life span, I am unable to recommend this product to others.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The jury is out

In making my purchase I examined a number of reviews and articles about washers and dryers and decided the Electrolux had the features and quality I was looking for as I had a healthy budget. I replaced a set of machines that has pedestals and decided that I would not need these for this set as the pedestals tend to be very expensive and of little use except to elevate teh machines. I like the features on this machine and the numerous laundry settings. I don't really care for the way the dial sets those options. Ultimately, I bought the machine to wash clothes efficiently which is does quite well. I like that it uses little water and does a great job at getting teh clothes clean. I wish that the manufactures of these front load washers could come up with a better way to lift the machine level slightly about 4-6 inches more which is a more practical ergonomic height without a pedestal being added. I am not very sure the push to open/close on the door latch will last. If you don't push exactly at the little circle the door does not close. This leads me to believe that as teh machine ages and wears the door latch may be a problem. Its only a few months old right now and works fine. I am trusting the Electrolux brand to be a reliable product, but as this is my first foray into the product line, only time will tell. If I get this survey again in a couple years, I would probably rate this machine and its companion dryer higher if my concerns prove to be unwarranted.

Trying to get it to use all the features

Only works on "normal cycle"
Every time I try to use a different cycle it stops and says .." No water"
This is our 2nd machine
The only way to open machine is to press cancel
Then I start over and give up and use " normal"
Overall ..disappointed...design... Looks good....features...lots of features
But they just DO NOT WORK.....help me !!! Very disappointed

Good washer

So far, this washer is fine for what we need it for. We are a family of three comprised of two adults and one child. Between work clothes, workout clothes and changes of clothes for our daughter, we do tend to generate a good amount of laundry. The cycles do not take that long and I appreciate the special cycle for workout clothes. The steam feature is good both as a stand alone cycle for a quick refresh and as an option to add at the end of a cyle to prevent shrinking/wrinkles. I also like that there is a pre-wash setting for most cycles, which I feel does help to get more of the dirt out.
