Washes Well For Over 2 Years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Efficient, effective, low water consumption and relatively quiet. Lacks a dedicated spin-only cycle which I find useful. Otherwise, no complaints.

Water all over

Our brand new washer , second one delivered the same day for the same problem - water leaking all over is waiting for a repairman. We like the washer because the door is reversible, hard to find these days. I hope we are making the right decision by hopring for a repair instead of just retuning it and choosing another make. Hard to believe two brand new machines leaking like that.

THIS IS A GREAT WASHING MACHINE, SOO QUIET, NO LEAKING, THE FEATURES ARE GREAT, AND I BOUGHT THE PED. TO GO WITH IT AND GLAD I DID BECAUSE I HAVE A LOWER BACK PROBLEM AND THIS RAISES IT UO TO A GOOD LEVEL FOR ME.

Nice washer, bad quality

The washer works great, but when it operates. After three loads, it quit working, and needed a service call just to get the clothes out. The service company sent by Electrolux seemed very adept at fixing one thing and breaking two others. I Found out later that they have an F rating from the BBB. Why would a premium appliance brand send such a disreputable firm to represent them?

New Washer

The washer is just okay. It has a larger capacity, but prompts its need for a washer cleaning cycle almost once a week. I do run several loads a day, but often have to rinse twice (or more) towards the end of the week to get all the detergent out of a load. The need to keep rerinsing all the loads makes it not so efficient after all.

I was torn between this product and the Maytag Maxima Series and decided to choose the Electrolux since its the only washer that has a reversible door which was ideal for our situation. Had it delivered and installed from local retail store and I was so excited for the wife to have something so nice and new to use since our old set was about 12 years old and not very efficient. Within the first few minutes of our first wash we got an error code. Our very first wash! Had to look up on internet to find code and found it to mean there was a leak in the tub. I looked under the washer and there was a puddle of water. Checked back connections and they were all good and dry. Unplugged to reset and tried again. No error but more puddling. Had service come out and it turns out that there is no gasket designed to be placed in the plastic soap dispensing area so every time water shoots in to wash detergent down it shoots out the sides and down to the floor. Service tech had to put silicone around casing to stop leak. Since then things seem to be working fine. Wife is happy now but initial experience was very bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
