Bought this a month or so ago and its been a challenge to get it in the recommended 35-38 degree range for the refrigerator. We have it just a bit above "coldest" and its at 40 degrees. Putting it on coldest gets it to 32 or colder. A nice size refrigerator and freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product was making a strange noise till I realized I had not connected ice maker just turned off till I can connect ice maker. Noise gone

I'm happy with this product. The only small complaint I have is that it doesn't hide finger prints very well. But other than that it works great.
