220 line needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a small dryer, it needs a 220 line. I have had full size dryers that didn't need one and this does. It is made to be small to go anywhere... But you will need an electrician to run a 220 line to be able to use it..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect for my closet conversion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I converted an old upstairs closet into a convient and very cool laundry room.
1 year ago we bought a 210 year old farm house in upstate New York. The laundry room was downstairs and through the kitchen making it very combersom. All the bedrooms. We wanted to turn our old scary linen closet into an upstairs laundry. The standard 27 inch washer and dryer would not kit into the closet space. I was excited to discover that Electrolux makes a 24 inch washer and dryer set. They fit into the space perfectly.
I connected the water drain from the dryer to the washer. This ingenious feature allows warm dry air to help heat our upstairs.
The smaller size has had no noticeable impact on our family of 4.
The modern style looks great in our charming old farm house.

Does not work

I purchased the washer dryer combination. The washer works as expected (except for an odd odor for the first 4 or 5 loads).
The dryer however is a different story. The first unit I received did not heat. despite an extended troubleshooting period, the installers could not get it to work. I asked to have them take it back and get me a new one and was informed that Electrolux requires a technician visit first. the technician arrived and after a longer than expectation diagnosis, I was told that there was a faulty board, and a replacement would need to be ordered. After well over 6 week, the part had not arrived so I insisted that they order me a new dryer and I would take whichever arrived first (part or new machine). A half a month later, the new dryer arrived. The installers delivered and set it up, and much to my chagrin, this unit was defective as well. This time it neither heats or spins, and produces an E50 error on the display panel.
If I could give this appliance zero stars, I would. sufficive to say, they will be taking back the set, and I will buy another brand as I no longer have confidence in this product or manufacturer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Literally could not have been worse

I bought the washer and dryer over a month ago and was never able to use them because they wouldn't stack properly.
