Machine looks nice . . .HOWEVER

I replaced a 19 year old Frigidaire front load machine that needed a repair (the motor still worked) but I decided it wouldn't be worth repairing. Boy, was I ever wrong! I thought that the new machine would work at least as well as the old machine. Wrong again! My old machine (with a smaller tub) could easily wash and SPIN various throw rugs. The new machine cannot spin the water out of any of the rugs. So I took the rugs out, wrapped them in towels and squeezed out as much water and put them back in the machine on the "spin only" cycle. After 45 minutes I realized that the machine still couldn't spin the rugs and it stayed in the locked position. I tried pausing the cycle/unplugging - still stayed locked! I finally figured out to reset the "spin only" cycle to "no spin" (makes no sense, does it??) Then I was finally able to remove the very wet rugs. And here I thought I could wash my comforters, etc. in the new machine, Jokes on me!
My questions to you:
1)why are you making a machine with a cheaper motor with less horsepower?
2)why do you offer a "bulky" cycle knowing that the machine cannot spin the water out of comforters, blankets, etc?
I am still regretting not having my 19 year old machine repaired. I'd love to get that machine back and pay for the repair.

Great clothes dryer

This dryer does large loads, has simple controls, has moisture control and fits in a small space. I looked at numerous dryers in several stores and this was the best choice for the money.

Poor Performance

Purchased this brand based on previous unit that was still working after more than a decade without any issue and the recommendation of the sales staff. Not at all pleased with this unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the washer, however I was very disappointed when washing a small bathroom rug and the spin cycle was unable to spin out enough water to place in the dryer. It took several tries to get the water spun out.
