Failed in month thirteen

pulley came loose created a whole in drum water leaks when filling now. Tightened up the pulley and worked for a load or two now the drum won't spin again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had an Affinity 4.4 cu ft washer for 4 years. The rubber tubing around the door and inside the washer must be wiped down thoroughly after each wash, or they will mold. All of the rubber parts on my machine are molded. The washer must be left open always in order to prevent molding.
And now the machine is "pausing" mid cycle and can not be restarted.

I hate to hear about your recent washer experience, Elizabeth r. Washing machines are expected to get your clothes clean, but did you know that washing machines need to be cleaned as well? The inside of a washing machine is warm and damp, so it's the perfect place for bacteria, mold and odors to grow. To prevent this from growing in your clothes and bedding, it's vital to maintain your washing machine and keep it clean. First rub some bleach around the door gasket. Let this dry. Next rub some vinegar around the door gasket. Let this dry. (Do NOT mix the bleach and vinegar) Then run a hot empty load of bleach in all three dispensers. Put 1/2 cup of bleach in the detergent dispenser and fill the softener and bleach dispenser to the max fill line with bleach. Once that is done repeat the process with vinegar. Please make sure you run a load of towels or some sort of items that will not matter if you get a little bleach on them once this process is done. I also recommend resetting your washer from the main circuit breaker for about 1-3 minutes to clear out any control settings. I hope this helps! Good features-fit my size requirements

Replacing an intrigal washer/dryer combo in a closet, I had some serious space constraints and these were the only ones that would fit. I am pleased with the features on the washer, though not being able to put it on a pedistal, it is very low down.
I would recommend this to a friend!
