Good washer, with personal caveats

This washer replaced another Frigidaire washer that had developed mold problems around the rubber gasket that seals the door shut. This is apparently a problem with most front loading washers, regardless of brand.
This time around we are being much more careful to thoroughly dry the inside of the washer with a cloth, especially around the rubber gasket, after each use. (Side note: I purchased a small rechargeable battery-powered fan to also stick inside the washer for 30 minutes or so after drying with a cloth. Moving air helps dry it out.)
The washer itself is a nice upgrade from the previous one with nice display and multiple cycles. We really don't need much more in a washer.
The only other real problem we have is that our washer/dryer fit inside a custom cabinet. These new washers are an inch or inch and a half deeper than previous, so now our cabinet doors do not close properly. This is partially our own fault for creating the custom cabinetry years ago, but also the fault of the ever growing size of washers and dryers. For example, this washer, for some reason has a door that extrudes out a good inch or more from the face of the washer. The previous Frigidaire was flush with the front of the machine. Other than design aesthetics, I can see no reason for this change. Without this "feature" the washer would fit (tightly) in the same spot as the old washer.
There aren't many smallish washer/dryer sets anymore, unless you go for a bachelor/apartment size, which wouldn't work for most families. Frigidaire makes the smallest full sized machines on the market, it seems.
Our old washer was 29" deep, this one is 30 3/10". We thought it would fit, but it doesn't quite. It still works, so we're keeping it, mostly because there are no smaller choices on the market. I foresee a construction project in our future...
Moral of the story: if you have any space/size restrictions at all, be sure you double check the dimensions!

No noise!

Just got this washer about a month ago and I love it . It's quiet ,doesn't make a lot of noise, has so many options ,even energy saver!

It sounds like the door strike may not be aligning with the door lock. To adjust the door hinge, simply open the door and loosen/remove the screws. Better than our old Frigidaire washer

Our old front load Frigidaire of 20 plus years finally bite the dust. Never had to repair it. Ran tough but it finally went. No question I was going to get another one. Larger, runs better, quieter, so far very pleased.
