I replaced a 19 year old Frigidaire front load machine that needed a repair (the motor still worked) but I decided it wouldn't be worth repairing. Boy, was I ever wrong! I thought that the new machine would work at least as well as the old machine. Wrong again! My old machine (with a smaller tub) could easily wash and SPIN various throw rugs. The new machine cannot spin the water out of any of the rugs. So I took the rugs out, wrapped them in towels and squeezed out as much water and put them back in the machine on the "spin only" cycle. After 45 minutes I realized that the machine still couldn't spin the rugs and it stayed in the locked position. I tried pausing the cycle/unplugging - still stayed locked! I finally figured out to reset the "spin only" cycle to "no spin" (makes no sense, does it??) Then I was finally able to remove the very wet rugs. And here I thought I could wash my comforters, etc. in the new machine, Jokes on me! My questions to you: 1)why are you making a machine with a cheaper motor with less horsepower? 2)why do you offer a "bulky" cycle knowing that the machine cannot spin the water out of comforters, blankets, etc? I am still regretting not having my 19 year old machine repaired. I'd love to get that machine back and pay for the repair. Linda Helm - an extremely unhappy customer
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Linda, thank you for sharing your review with us concerning your new washer. I am terribly sorry to learn about your frustration and would like to see where we might be able to assist. Please reconnect with us directly if you are still experiencing concerns with your washer. Thank you, Jennifer
What a great washer. I tell everyone that comes over. You got to see my new washer. It is faster, cleans better, and less wetness on the clothes. When you put them in to dry. It then doesn't take long to dry.
I bought this dryer about 1 month ago and I have had no problems with it since. It runs quietly and my clothes are dry at the end of the cycle every time.
I replaced my Frigidaire Front Load Washer after 10 years with another Frigidaire Front Load Washer because it is a name I trust and can depend on. I need not say anymore.
I purchased this Frigidaire washer FFFW5000QW as a set with dryer FFQE5000QW on 4/26/16. I've been using the washer for about 3.5 months. Initially, I had problems with the door not shutting properly (loud buzzer goes off) about a third of the time I used the machine. Wouldn't you know that when the service tech came to the house last month he was unable to replicate the problem, and the door has since been closing perfectly every time. So, all in all I'm pleased with my purchase and would recommend this washer to others. It's a good value for the price and gets my clothes clean. I love the larger drum size over my previous Frigidaire washer.
