[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this last month and love it! We don't use all of the features of more expensive machines so this is perfect. The door stays slightly open as well so it doesn't get that mildew smell!

Oh no! ShellBell, I have found using a mesh lingerie bag has cut down on wayward socks for me. Perhaps that would work for you also. Leaving the door and dispenser open for a few hours after use, prevents odors, mold or mildew. For more information, please see page 21 in your Owner’s Manual. I hope this helped!
