ICEMAKER

I BOUGHT MINE IN 2013--THE ICEMAKER WORKS INTERMITTENTLY, AND CLANKS FREQUENTLY, THEN STOPS WORKING. I DEFROST IT WITH A HOT HAIR DRYER & IT WORKS AGAIN FOR AWHILE. JULY 2017 IT QUIT WORKING ALTOGETHER ---WHAT A PAIN IN THE REAR END.

Not real happy with performance. Looks are nice but this thing is unreliable. I guess my problem is common according to google.

Leaking and making loud noise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had leaking refrigerator, loud noise from icemaker, and water intake break. It's very expensive and my other refrigerator has never had a problem.

If you are able, please try to locate the source of the leak (condensation, water hose, valve connection, etc). It is normal to hear some noises from the ice maker during operation; if the leak is from the water connection, it may be contributing to issues in the ice maker. Awful

Had to replace the ice maker after 3 years and the IQ Touch Screen, which was barely used, just stopped working after turning it off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big Improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Electrolux ICON French Door Refrigerator with the Ice and Water Dispenser. That icemaker was a design disaster. It cannot be repaired. I had a second problem with that unit and instead of repairing it, I replaced it with this unit with the standard icemaker in the freezer. Lucky to find this as NOS. I wanted the Icon refrigerator to match the current dishwasher, range and wall ovens. Had it for a month. So far it is great!!! Icemaker in the freezer is a HUGE improvement.
I would recommend this to a friend!
