Good replacement for my old Whirlpool model

Had this a couple months and working fine. Purchased as a replacement for another whirlpool model that was 8 yrs old. We needed bisque color to match our current kitchen appliances and it was the only one still available in that color. Is not as stylish looking as the old one. Kind of boxy but other than that is good.

Where is the pause button?

We replaced the microwave we had over the stove since it was no longer working. While the new microwave extends out further than the old one, that is not an issue. I can find no way to pause the microwave to check on the food unless I totally cancel the program. I find that frustrating.
