Microwave works well, but I don't know what the metal tray is for. If I put something on there, it normally burns. I just keep it out, which seems like a lot of wasted space. Also, the door has an air bubble under the protective backing that keeps popping up. Very strange. Maybe we got a dud?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tremendous Kitchen aid for busy household

We bought this to replace our existing one and have been happy with the updates over the last five years on this particular model including easier quick sets and adjustable fan speeds

I bought this Whirlpool microwave earlier this month. This is my first Whirlpool product purchase, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase other Whirlpool appliances. The microwave is the best I've ever had. The sensing feature works great, and the product provides all the features/gadgets I need.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not impressed

It does some stuff good but can't cook a frozen dinner (Lean Cuisine) correctly. Center was cold. Called support. Fix was unplug and try again. Center is barely warm now. I'll probably call support again to get a tech out.

I am glad I chose Whirlpool again. My previous Whirlpool microwave lastedover twelve years. It has excellent features, performance and design. I wouldhighly recommend it.
