Stylish and attractive, difficult to read keypad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Microwave looks and works fine. There are two things I would change, however. The keypad is gray and hard to read, especially when the light is on in the kitchen. The other thing is that I can't press numbers 1-6 as I could on my old microwave to get instant start on high for that number of minutes, i. e. 1-6 minutes. That's a feature I miss. But there are other features that I didn't have previously such as multiple choices of items to reheat. Some people complained about the musical tone instead of beeps but I like the musical tone--very unoffensive and actually easier to hear because the musical tone is varied as opposed to the beeps.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Microwave hood Comb

I am happy with the microwave hood. It does warm food much quick than our 13 yr old that we replace. I just wish the beeper on timer and food is done was louder or have an choice to make it louder.

Really Disappointed

Having just remodeled our kitchen we thought our Whirlpool microwave was a great buy after some research reading reviews. It ended up having two problems. The first was the cooktop light fixture that would not turn on as desired. Luckily this problem has been fixed. The second one (still ongoing) is the sensor that detects if the microwave door has been closed or opened. With this issue, the microwave does not turn on (It thinks the door is still opened). After replacing the microwave control panel few weeks ago, the problem is back. I still need to open a new service request to fix this issue.Being such useful appliance nowadays, it has been a stressful experience for my family to own a Whirlpool microwave.I wouldn't buy any other appliance from Whirlpool, considering that we plan to upgrade our refrigerator and ranges with new models.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
