Overall good, with some glitches

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased to replace an 18-year old Whirlpool, the installation went smoothly. The form factor is unchanged. Set up was easy. It works well, and it's good to have a microwave whose magnetron isn't old and tired. The unit is well-made and seems solid, except as noted below. It's noticeably quieter in operation than the unit it replaced. Overall, I'm satisfied.
Some nits: the rollers for the turnable are flimsy and frail. They aren't going to last. And the completion sound is more like a completion symphony. Your choices are to have the sound on or off. You can't have a simple beep. And the setting is global, affecting the timer as well as the cooking functions. It seems a pretty stupid design decision. Allowing more watts – or at least lumens – in the over-range light would be useful.

Just stopped heating

Out of the blue, it just quit heating food. Really disappointed. I've had microwaves for 5-10 years with no problem. This didn't make it 3....

Great updated features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago, it replaces a 18 year old Whirlpool microwave that finally quit working. This new microwave has so many new features that I am still learning how to use it. There are so many new automated features that help to take some of the guess work out timing and power levels settings. For me, the only short coming is the location of the light placement under the microwave. My old unit lit up the entire surface of my stove top but this one has the light at the back of it and it no longer lights up the entire stove top. This is my only frustrating complaint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had not been without a microwave in my kitchen since 1975, when my 20 year old Whirlpool Gold gave up the ghost last August. For 6 months I did without. We would shop for a replacement and walk out empty handed. Finally, hubs got tired of not having popcorn on demand and told me to just pick one and buy it. So, I did. This has the features I need and functions well.
