No problem with the set up. Very easy. I already had my speakers and with the Sony optimizer microphone, it was very easy to set them up. It actually did it itself.

Seems to be a good unit, cost effective, does run my surround sound great. Having trouble interfacing with the ARC to bring up the cable when asked. Sound comes, but no video

Great Feature... only issue is wireless

I was not sorry that i bought this receiver however the wireless connectivity is very temperamental. At first the wireless worked extremely well, however it has been 2 years since i have purchased this receiver and now the wireless does not stay connected consistently (even when I disable the network standby option) Other than the wireless issue the receiver is perfect in my opinion.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Crashed after update

I bought this last year and noticed there was an update available today. Made the mistake of accepting. After hanging for about an hour after downloading I tried unplugging (after attempting to resync with TV multiple times). I get nothing now. Not even a green power light. Going to see how to resolve but wouldn't expect this from a Sony product

I’ve had this for quite a few years and I’ve enjoyed it a lot. I just purchased a 4K Blue Ray Player and the 4K upscale works very good. Only issue is occasionally I have to reboot the receiver because no sound comes out. After reset it works perfect
