[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Couldn't find my first review to add in to it so I'm writing a new one.
My first coffee pot must have been a lemon. Black & Decker replaced it. My second pot is working wonderful, just as it should. Thank you Black & Decker for the replacement.

Failed after 2 months

Exactly the same issue as other posted reviews. Bought the coffee maker new on Aug. 16th.After less than 2 months of owning this unit, it would start only making 2 to 3 cups of coffee at a time, and would then shut off. Turn it back on to continue brewing, and it would again shut off after 2 to 3 cups. We always use filtered water for our coffee, but attempted to clean and descale with vinegar, but this did not resolve the issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keeps shutting off

This machine keeps shutting off every few minutes. Very annoyed.

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced with your coffee maker, however, the issue you describe in your review is something that could be addressed by descaling your coffee maker with vinegar. Lemon Coffee?

I too bought this model 3 months ago and it stopped working on 11/13/2018.
It just doesn't heat the water. Unfortunately I can't find the receipt, so I don't know if Kroger will replace it. I can drink instant tomorrow, but have to buy a new coffee maker then. I have all kinds of B & D products with no problems. This is a disappointment!

Great Compact Coffee Maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TIP- B&D recommends heating the thermal carafe with hot water just before brewing to keep the coffee hot longer.
But this is a great coffee maker for those who want a compact unit with a 12 cup thermal carafe. Makes a nice cup of coffee especially when put it on the bold setting. I did a temperature check after two hours - it held at 149 degrees - fine for us. The brewing cycle is quite long. If you are impatient or can't plan ahead using the programmable feature, buy something else. The carafe is well balanced, easy to pour from, easy to clean and not too heavy.
Be sure to thoroughly wash the manufacturing oils off the brew basket and the reservoir. Then run a few brew cycles with just water before your first true brew. There is an initial plastic odor. But it doesn't last, especially if you do the above.
Highly recommended - especially for the price. "Black and Decker" doesn't have the branding cachet of Cuisinart, but this model performs. I have had several of the "brands" at twice the price - only to have the control panel fail.
I am very impressed with this machine!

Nice Jar and good coffee!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coffee it brews is solid and tasty. The jar is very nice looking, but I didn't expect it to keep your coffee warm for more than an hour. But still, thats fine with us and the coffee is actually really good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee pot needs recalled ! Im not sure how they have managed to keep it on the market , we purchased this pot less than a year ago. We had the coffee pot replaced 3 times ,each time the company sends a new coffee pot and within a few months they all do the same thing . They constantly shut off during the brewing. We are done playing this game and will be purchasing a Bunn coffee pot.
