Coffeemaker won't brew, shuts off right away

The coffeemaker brewed great coffee until it recently started shutting off within 30 seconds. I tried descaling and playing around with the positioning of the carafe, lid, and basket to see what triggers it to turn off. Nothing seems to work.

Lid broke

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. Lasted about a year and the lid broke making it not possible to pour the coffee with the lid on. Tried searching for replacement parts to no avail. Unacceptable for such a relatively expensive coffee maker from a reputable company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Flooding/scalding issues

I bought this product a couple of weeks ago as a gift to my inlaws. I was excited about the thermal carafe and programmable features. It would make an amazing coffee maker if it were made properly, i.e. to function safely. However, the faulty lid continues to flood the counters and caused scalding water to burn my hand when picking up the carafe. The cofree is cold after a few hours, too. This seems to be a common issue, and a recall or dispersment of properly made lids to the consumers would be the right thing to do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great coffee pot.

Very easy to use and coffee stays hot for quite some time. Only problem is the lid to the coffee pot. It has broken after less than a year of use, so now we take off the top to pour coffee. Can't find replacement top anywhere!

bad lid seal

I love the concept but after barely a year of weekend use only the seal on the lid cracked and stays closed. This prevents the ability to pour coffee without removing the lid. This coffee maker was way too expensive to have non-replaceable parts fail so soon.

Lid broke

Started experiencing problems with the lid. The lever doesn't work anymore meaning I have to take off the lid to pour coffee. Would buy replacement lid if I could find one. I also experienced the problem with it shutting off too early, but found a work around; switch the coffee strength to strong.

We have been using this for almost a year now. I love that I can have hot coffee later in the day that has not been on a warming get tray getting good strong. However, our lid has broken and will not pour properly. Would like to locate a replacement lid.
