Bad Lid Design

Died after one year

We bought this coffee maker last year for our camper and thoroughly enjoyed each cup that it brewed. However, we were greatly disappointed this morning (Thanksgiving Day) when we woke up to find that it would not even turn on. We tried everything we could think of, but still could not get it to work. I am really surprised that it only lasted for one year. The Cuisinart coffee maker we have at home has lasted for more than 10 years. I was hopeful this one would last just as long.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good coffee pot except for broken lid

when we first bought the coffee maker it worked great. The thermal carafe kept the coffee hot which was great for my husband to have a cup of coffee available anytime of the day. A few months into using the coffee pot the lid mechanism broke making it difficult to use. Due to the faulty lid the coffee no longer stays hot rendering the coffee maker useless.

Works well...lid completely broken

Coffe maker works well, love all the programming options. The kid only lasted a few months and is now completely broken, can hear pieces rattling around inside.

Like the machine, but the lid on the thermos broke

We've had this machine for about a year and it's been great for making coffee, but the lid on the thermos broke a couple months ago and no we have to take the lid off to pour our coffee.

keeps coffee hot

bought 2 as gifts, but one is missing a piece on the cover of the thermos top and it cannot keep the coffee hot. Please send me a knew lid for the thermos

Faulty carafe lid

We bought this last year and have enjoyed how simple it is to use & the quick brew time. It is also a fabulous size for countertops as it doesn't take up much space. However, about two months after we began using it, the carafe lid broke so it no longer seals. It still works, in that you don't have to take the lid off to pour, but it does nothing to keep the coffee warm. I have looked all over the internet for a replacement lid to buy or even replace the carafe but have found nothing. At this point, I am looking into getting another coffee maker. I like this one enough to consider it but I am very hesitant to replace it only to have the same thing happen as I have read reviews all over the internet stating the broken lid is more common than not which speaks to a design flaw. I would recommend the good qualities of this product to a friend but would strongly caution them due to this flaw.
