Love the carafe but not the lid

We live this coffee maker, especially the stainless steel pot. It keeps our coffee hot all day. We are disappointed, however, with the lid as the tab broke early on. Since the tab broke we are unable to get the coffee out without unscrewing the lid and this gets a bit messy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great coffee maker except for the lid.

I bought 2 of these about a year ago. One of the lids just broke and I cannot seem to find a replacement. I am a huge coffee drinker so I love that I can brew a pot and it still be hot 2 hours later. Replacement lids should be replaced as this looks like a known issue. I don't think I would of bought this if I had seen these reviews.

Coffee lid doesn't last

Makes coffee okay, but the coffee lid tab broke, then stopped working altogether. Looks like I'm not the only one with this problem.

Great Coffee Maker--Broken Lid

I have had this coffee maker approximately 10 months--love it! However, the lid broke about 4 months ago, the same as in the picture that someone submittted. I glued the lid stem back on, and added some stick on rubber feet to the top of the carafe, to prevent from pushing the lid stem down too far.
I have been trying to find another lid or carafe, with no luck.
Perhaps B&D can redesign the carafe with a lid stop on top, to prevent pressing the lid stem too far down.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Like it, but lid is broken!

We've had this coffee maker for more than a year and are pleased with it, but the lid has broken making it an annoying mess to pour coffee. I've looked everywhere but can't find a source for a new lid. VERY FRUSTRATING

Same problem with lid

I love the idea of the thermal carafe instead of a heating element under the carafe, but I've had the same problem as everyone else with the lid breaking shortly after purchase.
Other observations: The deep lip in front of the filter basket accommodates the timer mechanism but makes the filter basket a little messy to load. The filter basket is deeper than any brand of filter I've been able to find so we tend to get some grounds in the carafe. We've also had a few overflow episodes for reasons I haven't yet determined.
In future models, I recommend adding a gentle alarm sound when the brew cycle is complete.
I'd like to keep using the unit, but I need to find a replacement lid. if that's not possible I will probably replace it with another brand before long.
