Would be 5 except... the lid

Have enjoyed this coffee maker for a while,  brews consistently good coffee IF, the grind is not too fine. Thermal Carafe keeps the coffee at a suitable temp for quite some time.  However, the weak point is the lid. (As pointed out by many others here.) I can no longer pour with the lid on because the plastic release is cracked and will not work.  I really like this product and would buy 2 or 3 replacement lids, if they were offered.  (very hard too find a 12 cup metal thermal carafe paired with a good coffee maker.) 
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the carafe

We have had this pot for a while now, love it except the lid no longer functions. Love the carafe, love the fact that I can get my hand in the pot to clean it and love the 1-4 cup heater. How do we get another lid?

Could be better

Had this coffee pot for a little over a year. Works very good but like a lot of people the lid broke. Without a replacement available it's very doubtful I'd replace it with another Black and Decker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Coffee

Great pot but lid push tab broke after 2 wks

The coffee stays warm for hours without having to worry about turning off the coffee maker. The coffee comes out pretty good. My only issue is that the push tab on the lid is very flimsy and broke after minimal use. We're still able to use it with a broken push tab.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

love it....except the lid

Bought this a little under a year ago. Love the coffee maker but as I see quite a lot of people are having trouble with the lid...and so am I. I need a replacement lid and can not find one anywhere!!!

Great pot, lid a problem

Ive been using the pot for quite a while, even bought the exact pot for our RV. I'm disappointed that the lid stopped functioning. Even more disappointed that it seems to be a recurring problem, based on other reviews.
If a replacement isn't available, I would not buy another.
