Base made of cheap plastic

I wish I would have seen all these reviews before I bought this blender. I have been happy with everything except the jar base, which cracked after about 5 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Back & decker blender

We bought this blender 3 months ago and I'm very disappointed with the quality the plastic and glass broke while we were using it. I highly do not recommend this blender specially if you have little kids.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just purchased it and very happy with it. I only wish I could purchase a smaller jar as my shakes seem "lost" in the 20 oz jar.

Jar base broke

I bought this product three months ago and the base cracked opened! I have tried looking for replacement parts and cant find it anywhere!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked great, but now leaky

This blender did a great job making smoothies for a inexpensive price. Still works but the gasket on the blade has broken and there don't seem to be replacement parts. We've had it for awhile, but it would be nice to have a new part instead of needing to buy a new blender.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Broken base

I was looking on these Black and Decker page hoping to find a replacement base. I came across the reviews and wanted to add my situation. I laid my jar on its side to completely empty the contents. I turned away for a moment and it had already fallen to the floor. I take full responsibility for the incident. I would be happy to be able to purchase a new base.

WAS a nice blender

Bought this almost exactly one year ago (1/15/16) and the plastic base has cracked and finally broken just like so many of the other reviews. So far I have not been able to find a replacement piece so now, I have a red metallic lump taking up space in my kitchen. I realize I've gotten a little more use out of it than others but I rarely use it so I would have expected it to last a bit longer. I use the small travel cup frequently and that's held up just fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
